These powerful parenting books are ones that I have read over the years since becoming a parent. They cover many different topics but all promote positive parenting techniques.

We all have different parenting styles and, for my family, these books have been full of great information when I needed it.

When I am stressed or overwhelmed, I love to read and learn more about the situation. Before I act, I love to know everything I can about a situation. Because of this, I read so many parenting and pregnancy books when we conceived our first child.

I was overwhelmed with information.

This was both a positive and a negative thing. Sometimes it allowed me to feel empowered because I had all this information buzzing around my head. Other times, I felt so confused because I didn’t know what my parenting style was or how to combine the parts of the different books into one cohesive style.

How would I describe my parenting style?

• Earth/nature based parent

One thing I learned, which wasn’t from any book, was to just be true to myself. These books gave me valuable insight to different tools and tricks that I could use as a parent but none of them defined ME.

There are so many parenting books for so many different parenting styles. Reading is a great thing but don’t ever feel like you have to completely align with anything any book says. I hope you are able to find a book that sparks your interest and inspires you to be the best parent you can be.
