Nourishing Parenting – Let’s Make It Official

It is June 1st, so I thought it would be the perfect day to officially launch the new brand – Nourishing Parenting.  It is a new month and a glorious day.  We have been working hard and are ready to put our new face forward.

Many people have noticed and commented on the new name.  I have been slowly updating our accounts and letting the change take over instead of attempting to do it all at once!  I am only one mama, and a busy one at that, so I am working my hardest to make the transition to our new identity as smooth as possible.

 

Where We Started

4 years ago we moved 4000km across the country.  We knew no one in our new city and province.  All of our family and friends were really far away and we wanted a way to keep everyone updated on our lives.

We started uploading random videos to YouTube and had a blog which was more of a digital scrapbook.  These videos and blog posts were just to keep our family and friends involved in our lives.  We wanted the boys’ grandparents to witness their lives and watch them grow up.

Organically, we began to reach a broader audience.  New people started finding our channel and blog, and have grown and evolved into who we are now.  I started posting broader content and sharing information about how we live instead of just showing it.

I learned that our lifestyle was a passion, and I wanted to share it.

 

What Is Nourishing Parenting?

Nourishing Parenting is positivity.  It is parenting through instinct with love and respect.  It is feeding every aspect of life – body, mind, and soul – with positivity and embracing life.

For years we blogged under the name A Coates Life.  It fit because it was our lives.  But as we have grown we wanted to reach a wider audience and share our message further.  I wanted to move away from the family scrapbook and become an influencer.

In my notebook, I have hundreds of name alternatives that I brainstormed.  None of them fit.  They either did feel right or just were not what I was looking for.  One day the name Nourishing Parenting just came to me.  I immediately wrote it down and searched to see if the domain was available.  We had just renewed A Coates Life but I knew this was the direction I needed to go.

Within 24 hours I bought the domain NourishingParenting.com and began working on our transformation.

 

What The Future Holds

We never know what the future holds but we have dreams we are working on manifesting.

Our content across social media will remain the same.  We will continue to share our journey as unschoolers, large family minimalist, nature lovers, etc…  Nourishing Parenting will continue to promote positivity and believing in your dreams.
