In these uncertain times, many parents are looking for online learning resources to supplement their children’s education. Whether you are a homeschooler or not, these are valuable resources.

There are so many different resources to add to this list, if you have any favourites, please leave them in the comments and we can add them!

**This is a curated list. We have used many of these resources but not all of them. Please do your own research as to which resources will be the best fit for your family.

Techie Homeschool Mom

Techie Homeschool Mom is a website run by “a geeky homeschooling mom” who curates inspiring digital learning for families. There are so many courses available on this website – for many different interests and age ranges.

We had the pleasure reviewing her course about the Solar System and really enjoyed the format.

Udemy

I, personally, have taken a wonderful Reiki class using Udemy and have yet to experience any other classes. But I include this resource on the list because there is a whole teaching section!

Depending on what grade level you are looking for resources for, or if you are looking for online learning resources for yourself, Udemy could be a great option for you.

Outschool

Outschool has so many live online amazing classes. Their Minecraft and Pokemon themed classes first caught our eye a few years ago.

Have a child who is obsessed with Minecraft? Just type it into the search and you will be surprised how many different classes there are with a Minecraft theme – math using Minecraft, baking bread to eat like a Minecraft character, Minecraft Pixel Art – there is so much to discover.

And it is not just Minecraft – there are so many different classes offered on Outschool, it is amazing.

Rosetta Stone

It may be worth checking out your local library before purchasing Rosetta Stone because many libraries offer this resource for free!

Online Museum Tours

There are so many museums around the world that have opened up their collections to online tours.

If you have ever wanted to go to the Louvre, you now can in a digital format! These online tours are an amazing resource and, while not as exciting as being able to go in person, can really spark curiosity and encourage further exploration into the collections of the museums.

This article, from Mental Floss, list 12 world class museums which have online tours.

The Great Courses Plus

The Great Courses Plus is another great website full of classes from different professors which is constantly adding new lectures and content.

Check it out here.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy is an excellent free online resource.

This is a resource that we just recently discovered and I was, honestly, slightly upset that I didn’t know about it earlier! The adaptive learning path has quickly become a favourite in our home.

Khan Academy Kids is a great resource for all families.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is a large collection of original content created by teachers, for teachers. Whether you are a homeschool parent or looking for something to supplement your children’s learning at home, this is a great resource.

There are SO MANY options available on this website, it can be a little overwhelming at first. I recommend sorting by grade level or subject and then going from there. It really helps narrow down your choices to find some great material.
