Ikea has a great selection of toys. We love their wooden toys. They hold up really well and are a fantastic price. Check out these toddler toys from IKEA.

This past weekend, I was going through our toy bins. It is hard to believe that my youngest is almost 5. But since he is getting older, many of the toddler toys that we have are no longer played with or loved.

It was time to declutter and pass on these toys to a family who could use them. I wanted to do this with more that enough time before Christmas because I know many families are having a hard time, financially, this year. All of the toys we decluttered went to families in need.

As I was decluttering toys, I realized how many of these toddler toys are from Ikea! We bought these toys because they were within our budget at the time, and discovered how amazing they are.

Wooden Train Sets

IKEA has all sorts of wooden train sets.

We used the IKEA train sets in combinations with other sets – Thomas the Train official sets as well as random wooden pieces we found at thrift shops. In our experience, these sets fit with all of the other brands of wooden train tracks that we have.

There are so many more train track options and accessories available now, compared to when we bought ours. I wish that many of them were available when my son was dreaming of being a “train master” (aka an engineer) and spending every waking hour talking about or playing with his trains.

Fabric Play Food

When I discovered the fabric play food at Ikea, I was so excited. At the tie, there were not many non-plastic options for toy food that I could find or that fit my budget and I really did not want a bunch of hard plastic play food.

Over the years, we have purchased so many different sets of play food. My kids absolutely love it!

Soft Toys

We cannot mention toddler toys from IKEA without mentioning their soft toys.

There are so many amazing stuffed animals at IKEA and they are a great price! Over the years we have purchased many of the soft toys from IKEA.

“Mr Shark” has always been a favourite and still has a place on my one son’s bed. My eldest, who is almost 12, still has his panda on his bed as well. Can you believe that the KRAMIG panda is only $4.99? That is such a good price!
