This month I read a lot of books based on spirituality and motivation. These inspirational books motivated me to start 2019 going down the right path.
In January, I was focusing on books that would encourage the growth of my mind and spirit. The New Year always brings inspiration for self-improvement and clarity. My goals are not directly impacted by these topics but improving your mental game can help with all aspects of life.
Being mindful and learning motivation techniques will help me reach my goals while improving the flow of everyday life and how I perceive the world around me.
The witchy books might not seem to tie into this, but I look at spells and witchcraft as uses of the law of attraction. A spell might be seen as similar in nature, depending on how you word it, to affirmations. The use of herbs, candles, and crystals is just a bit extra that allows the individual to connect more deeply to what they are doing. I love crystals and feel so connected to their beauty so I will use any excuse to incorporate more into my daily life.
In efforts to be a lower waste human, I do read all of my books on my e-reader or from the library. Check out the e-reader I have here: Kindle Paperwhite
So now, on to the books that I read this month!
What books have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
Books About Being Mindful
Being mindful is about raising your awareness of your surroundings and what is happening in the present moment. Mindfulness has helped me in many ways – from connecting with my children to coping with anxiety.
These books are very beginner friendly and I will be delving in a lot deeper in the coming months.
Mindfulness: A Step-By-Step Beginners Guide on Living Your Everyday Life with Peace and Happiness by Becoming Stress Free
While this book was for beginners, I still found it very helpful. I am not new to mindfulness and this still kept my attention and I enjoyed reading it.
I would definitely suggest adding this to a list of inspirational books for you to read!

Mindfulness: 50 Easy Mindfulness Exercises For Beginners To Live In The Moment And The Art Of Letting Go
This book left me wanting more. It suggests many great mindfulness exercises but it also lacked. I wish it went into more detail about how these exercises could be helpful or how to implement them instead of just giving very brief examples.

Motivation: Boost Your Motivation with Powerful Mindfulness Techniques and Be Unstoppable
This book bridges the gap between motivation and mindfulness. I like being able to read about two interests in one book. This book did a great job introducing topics to the reader and left them with a desire to learn more (that is not a negative thing!). I would recommend adding this book to your list of inspirational books to read!

Motivational Books
I admit that I lack motivation. It is something that I am working on and slowly trying to improve. Through my mindfulness practice, I have realized that my motivation is a lot higher in the morning wanes as the day goes on. Because of this, I now can schedule my day to do the things that require the most amount of motivation to occur earlier in the day.
Perhaps some of these inspirational books can help you if you struggle with motivation.
Motivation 101: Ten Ways to Increase Your Daily Motivation
This book I found as a free ebook on Amazon! It was a great book and I would not be disappointed had I paid for it. One thing I really like about this book is that at the end of every chapter, the author gives you questions to ask yourself. Some of these questions are really thoughtful and encouraged a lot of self-reflection.

Inspirational Books for Spirituality
An aspect of myself that I suppressed for many years was my desire to express my spirituality. In recent years, I have decided that I am who I am and that is just how it is. My spirituality is just one aspect of my life that makes me who I am, and I want to learn more.
A Green Witch’s Cupboard
I love herbs and flowers. This book is all about different ways (medicinal, cooking, and magical) to use herbs and flowers. I found this to be a very interesting read and will look back to it for reference in the future.

Tarot Card Reading: An Introduction
I used to draw a daily tarot card many moons ago, but I lost my deck in one of my many moves over the past 15 years. One thing I want to get back into is self-reflection using tarot cards.
I do not have a deck of tarot cards at the moment. I wanted to do some reading about the interpretation of cards so that when I do make the purchase I can jump right back into it.
