IXL Learning Review – A Fun Way To Learn
We’re always looking for personalized learning opportunities to add to our homeschool plan. This IXL Learning Review will explain how we use IXL in our home. We recently had the opportunity to explore the website http://www.ixl.com. IXL Learning provided us with a full annual membership to IXL to their site. Even though we are Canadian, I asked to be able to use the American version of the site. The Canadian version does not currently have a science section. Because that is, by far, the favourite subject of two of my children, I wanted to make sure they had access to science. If we were following a strict curriculum, this might…

Learning To Cook – Children In The Kitchen
Learning to cook is such an important life skill. Having your children in the kitchen with you is a great way to introduce them to cooking. The Importance Of Cooking Knowing how to cook for yourself is such an important skill. My parents taught me, from a young age, how to cook. Large Family Style Meal Prep For A Busy Mom
Feeding a family, especially a large family, can be time-consuming. This meal prep for a busy Mom shows that meal prep doesn’t have to be hard! Since we have stopped buying convenience snacks for our cupboards, I really need to be on top of my meal preparations. Eating foods that are ingredients themselves instead of buying foods made of way too many ingredients is really helping our bodies feel better. The downside is that sometimes this way of eating can be more time-consuming. See our blog about transitioning to minimalist food. Removing the quick and easy snacks has taken a bit of preparation, but it is definitely worth it. Hopefully, within…

What I Read This Month – Spirituality and Inspirational Books
This month I read a lot of books based on spirituality and motivation. These inspirational books motivated me to start 2019 going down the right path. In January, I was focusing on books that would encourage the growth of my mind and spirit. The New Year always brings inspiration for self-improvement and clarity. My goals are not directly impacted by these topics but improving your mental game can help with all aspects of life. Being mindful and learning motivation techniques will help me reach my goals while improving the flow of everyday life and how I perceive the world around me. The witchy books might not seem to tie into this,…
